The B-Hive is an in-house creative agency bringing to life the creative needs of some of the most recognisable brands in the beauty industry including Boots own brand, Boots Opticians, No7, Soap & Glory and Liz Earle.
We combine the capability of an external creative and production team, with the speed, flexibility, and in-depth brand knowledge of an in-house set-up, underpinned by years of experience dedicated to Boots and No7 Beauty Company.
The Midweight Designer will support the wider design team in delivering consistent and effective designs and ideation across a variety of media.

The successful candidate will bring strong design experience and a keen eye for detail, alongside a high level of creativity. They will be confident presenting and communicating ideas passionately and effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders within the business. Previous retail experience would be highly advantageous.

This role also requires a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can consistently deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines and under pressure.



What you’ll be doing
As a Midweight Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in our in-house creative agency, the B-Hive. You’ll work closely with our Creative Lead and Lead Designers to deliver stunning design collateral across various media, including campaigns, print, digital, and in-store. Your innovative ideas will help shape the visual identity of some of the most recognisable brands in the beauty industry, including No7 and Soap & Glory.

Key responsibilities
  • You will work closely with our Creative Lead and Lead Designers to deliver design collateral for various needs across campaigns, print, digital, in-store, image retouching and concept development.
  • Be innovative and bring fresh ideas while working within established brand identities, taking ownership and creative control over your given briefs. Support the design team in delivering against KPIs – CPA, speed to asset, and asset quality.
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of the beauty market and our brands.
  • Approach briefs with creativity and originality.
  • Ensure that all creative work meets the brief, aligns with brand guidelines, and is delivered to the highest standard.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)
  • A degree in Graphic Design or a relevant subject, with a strong portfolio of work in a variety of media, including print and digital design.
  • Experience in the beauty industry or a similar field is essential.
  • At least 4 years' experience with dexterity in campaign work, showing examples of print and editorial design, social media concepting, email design, digital content and video storyboarding, with the ability to present your work and communicate confidently.
  • Experience working with strategists or strategic work that acts as a springboard for your creative.
  • Professional use of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign & Illustrator.
  • Happy to work across multiple brands and project briefs in a dynamic agency environment.

It would be great if you also have
  • Line management or mentoring experience.
  • Familiarity with After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Figma.
  • Knowledge of AI tools to enhance creative processes.
